Emilie Ross Identified as 1 of 4 Victims Killed in San Francisco Car Accident on Highway 101 near Paul Avenue in San Francisco
San Francisco, California (October 3, 2019) – Emilie Ross, 34, of Hillsborough, has been identified as one of the four people who were killed early Thursday morning in a traffic crash in San Francisco.
The deadly accident took place at about 12:30 a.m. on Highway 101 near Paul Avenue.
The California Highway Patrol said Ross was driving a Volkswagen southbound in the northbound lanes of Highway 101 when her vehicle collided head-on with a taxi carrying two passengers.
One of the passengers in the taxi was thrown from the vehicle upon the impact.
Ross died in the wreck. The driver of the taxi and his passengers were also killed in the crash.
The crash caused the closure of all lanes of northbound U.S. 101 for nearly seven hours as the investigation and cleanup took place. As of 7:00 a.m., the roads were reopened.
The CHP is investigating the crash.
