30-Year-Old Man Dies in Spring Valley Construction Accident at Monte Vista High School on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard

Spring Valley, California (October 10, 2019) – According to a local news report, a construction worker died in a fall accident at the Monte Vista High School in Spring Valley Wednesday afternoon.

The accident took place just before 2:00 p.m.Wednesday, October 9 at the school on Sweetwater Springs Boulevard.

As per the report, a 30-year-old ironworker was struck by a beam struck while he was connecting beams on a 30-foot platform. That caused him to fall to the ground.

The man was taken to Sharp Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Another worker sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
