62-Year-Old Man Killed in San Jose Pedestrian Crash at Blossom Hill Road and Santa Teresa Boulevard

San Jose, California (November 13, 2019) - A 62-year-old man hit by a vehicle on Halloween in South San Jose succumbed to his injuries Friday, according to a police report.

The deadly pedestrian crash happened Thursday, October 31 near the intersection of Blossom Hill Street and Santa Teresa Boulevard.

Authorities said a Chrysler sedan was traveling eastbound on Santa Teresa Boulevard in the no. 1 lane when it struck the pedestrian who was crossing Blossom Hill Road from south to north outside of a marked crosswalk.

The man was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries on Friday, November 8. His name has not been released pending notification of next of kin.

The driver, believed to be a 54-year-old woman, stopped at the scene and cooperated with authorities.

Alcohol or drugs were not considered factors in the accident.
