Fatal San Jose Pedestrian Accident at Banff Street and Danube Way

San Jose, California (November 18, 2019) – Authorities are investigating the cause of a pedestrian crash that resulted in the death of a 2-year-old boy in San Jose on Sunday afternoon.

The fatal accident was reported at approximately 2:39 p.m. November 17, at the intersection of Banff Street and Danube Way near the junction of Interstate 680 and Highway 101.

Police said the kid ran out from between two parked cars near the intersection, where he was hit by a 2018 Dodge pickup truck travelling westbound.

The toddler was with his family loading up their car at the time of the collision.

The unidentified pedestrian suffered injuries and was rushed to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck cooperated with the authorities' investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
