Possible Injuries in Brea Truck Accident on 57 Freeway near Imperial Highway Off-Ramp
Brea, California (December 31, 2019) – Possible injuries were reported following a wrong-way crash involving two big rigs on 57 Freeway in Brea early Tuesday morning, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The wreck happened at around 2:30 a.m. on the northbound 57 Freeway near the Imperial Highway exit.
As per the CHP report, a white sedan was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes when it slammed into one of the big rigs.
Witnesses told the CHP they saw a man get out of the burning car. His condition was not immediately known.
It is still unclear if anyone was injured as a result of the crash.
The accident caused the closure of all six lanes and the carpool lane of the northbound Orange Freeway at 3:10 a.m.
As of 3:40 a.m., the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 lanes of the freeway were reopened.
The accident remains under investigation.
