Woman Killed in DUI Car Accident on Orange Avenue near Stockton Boulevard in Sacramento
Sacramento, California (December 28, 2019) - 49-year-old Eloy Tapia has been arrested on suspicion of DUI following a deadly traffic collision that occurred on Friday morning in Sacramento.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Orange Avenue near Stockton Boulevard at about 12:10 p.m. December 27.
A 1994 Mercedes E320 was reportedly backing out of a driveway when it was hit by a 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 that was traveling at a high rate of speed.
The authorities said a 63-year-old female passenger of the Mercedes was killed in the accident.
A dog in the Mercedes was also killed in the accident.
The 60-year-old man who was driving the Mercedes sustained minor injuries in the accident.
The driver of the Silverado, 49-year-old Eloy Tapia, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
