67-Year-Old Georgia Delarge Injured in Fatal Redding Car Crash on Highway 44
Redding, California (December 22, 2019) – The California Highway Patrol has identified the victim injured in a fatal traffic crash in Redding on Saturday morning as 67-year-old Georgia Delarge of Oak Run.
The collision, which happened at approximately 10:23 a.m. December 21, occurred along Highway 44 west of Stillwater Road.
The accident involved a gray 2018 Subaru Forester driven by 49-year-old Philip Stamps of Palo Cedro east on the highway and a white 2013 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Delarge at approximately 55 mph.
The initial report indicated that Stamps crossed into the westbound lane for unknown reasons and crashed with the Silverado.
The Silverado rolled over upon the impact while the Forester continued east in the westbound lane, where it ultimately struck a blue 2005 Audi S4 station wagon nearly head-on.
Delarge and Stamps sustained moderate injuries in the crash. Both were rushed to Mercy Medical Center for treatment.
The unidentified Audi operator died in the accident.
Meanwhile, the accident remains under an active investigation.
