Rider Killed in Fallbrook Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 15 near Mission Road

Fallbrook, California (August 19, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a suspected DUI crash Saturday morning in Fallbrook, according to the authorities.

The fatal crash occurred around 4:30 a.m. August 17, on northbound I-15, south of Mission Road.

CHP said a motorcyclist was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle northbound when he was rear-ended by a speeding Hyundai Sonata sedan driven by a 24-year-old man.

The impact threw the motorcyclist to the ground and he was run over by the Hyundai.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been disclosed.

The Hyundai driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into the Vista Detention Facility.

An investigation is ongoing.
